Are You Ready for the Naked DJ, DJ Naked?

Naked? The DJ Is Naked? What?

That's right!  The DJ is (or will soon be) naked.  But who's this? Well its the naked DJ Naked, of course.

Who is this masked man? Well, fortunately, DJ Naked is neither masked, nor a man (a female, actually), who may appear from time to time wearing body paint (and, perhaps, pasties, due to certain liquor regulations still being digested by the naked spinner's team of hopefully crack lawyers).

What kind of music will the naked DJ Naked be spinning?  And where? DJ Naked will be playing her own blend of crowd-pleasing tunes, from crowd pleasing anthems to a mix of some lesser-known grooves  that will be sure to sway the masses and please even the most music-jaded individuals among us. It should be a treat for audiophile and agnostic alike. She has been furiously at work preparing for her initial releases and appearances, and has been studying under the seasoned and carfeful gaze of one of modern music's recognized  (but here unnamed) pioneers and (sorry) elder statesmen.

Where and when can we expect to get a chance to get a glimpse of - um, put a listen to - that female to-be-known-as "DJ Naked?"  Well, soon is the answer given and in all likelihood at popular venues (boasting solid sound systems) around Arizona and up and down the west coast.

Let's hope it all lives up to its promise and things go as planned!

Long live the ... naked DJ:   DJ Naked!

Lounges? No Better Place to Meet-Up, Wind Down or Tend to Business.

Discerning Fans of a Decent Pour and Good Company Look No Further

Its kind of strange. A city the size of Phoenix metro, and so few true cocktail lounges. Perhaps Phoenix is not exactly New York City (but at least Glendale is no Newark), so we relaxed the definition just a smidgen.  For our central Arizona "lounge list," we broadened the definition to include relaxed, upscale drinking establishments that are good places both to wind up a pleasant date on the way to a "nightcap," to reacquaint with old friend or to confer with prospective business partners about issues as important as why the Dodgers lost yesterday or new fashions in handbags and womens footwear, as is your fancy.

Whatever. Here's the list of the most worthy lounges in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area:

1.  Merc Bar (Ground floor, the Esplanade, SE corner of N. 24th St. & E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix)

2.  Crown Room (#######, "Old Town" Scottsdale)
